CENKOS Channel Islands has become 100% CI-owned following the acquisition of a 10% stake by Guernsey resident Stephen Lansdown.

Mr Lansdown, who moved to the island primarily for tax reasons in 2010, has, through his locally-based company Pula, acquired the 10% of the business previously held by Cenkos Securities in the UK.

The Guernsey Cenkos office was founded by Jon Ravenscroft in 2005. Cenkos Securities took a 75% stake in the business which has unwound over the years, with shares being taken up by local Cenkos directors, staff and investors.

Mr Lansdown’s acquisition has concluded the process of turning the business back to the islands, which has been welcomed by Mr Ravenscroft, the chief executive officer.
