GBG 3 - Hear for yourself
THE third instalment of the GBG compilation CD showcases local music talent over two CDs, but this time round it is more eclectic than ever.
THE third instalment of the GBG compilation CD showcases local music talent over two CDs, but this time round it is more eclectic than ever.
And the packaging, with a full-colour booklet filled with information about the bands/artists featured on the album, complete with photos and mini biographies, makes it visually impressive too.
There are local artists old and new on the album and the style ranges from rock, grunge, punk, funk, folk and metal to everything else in between.
The CD is great representation of the islands (let's not forget Alderney and Sark) talent but as well as that it documents past bands and artists such as Dave, The Strolling Bones and The Bensons.
You can read Emily Burden's review of the album in the entertainment section of The Week, but if you'd like to hear some samples for yourself, click the links below.
