FLYBE has pulled out of the Norwich route for the winter.

FLYBE has pulled out of the Norwich route for the winter. It follows the airline announcing it would not operate to Manchester in the winter, something that led rival Aurigny to accuse it of cherry picking.

A Flybe spokesman said the airline had to provide services where a clear demand was identified and services were supported.

'In view of the current economic conditions, Flybe confirms that it will not be operating its direct Norwich to Guernsey and Jersey services during the 2008-09 winter schedule,' he said.

All passengers were being informed and offered a full refund, he added.

'Flybe remains committed to Guernsey. We are working closely with the airport authorities in the hope that the services we continue to operate from Guernsey will be supported by the region and that we will be in a position to reintroduce this route and add new routes in the near future.'
