AFTER years of waiting, extreme sports fans are celebrating news that a skatepark will be built at Beau Sejour.

Environment has given the green light to final plans by Gravity Engineering.

Now Guernsey's Xtreme Sports Association needs to raise £250,000 to get it built.

Culture and Leisure minister Mike O'Hara yesterday appealed to businesses to sponsor the project.

'The final plans are finally here, and we can start going to those sponsors who have shown interest,' he said.
