ST MARTIN'S can look forward to the new year with a cup final awaiting them.

It was an efficient performance from Colin Fallaize's men last night at Blanche Pierre Lane as they came through their Stranger semi with Rovers despite the Saints boss being without nine squad members, many of them big names.

Joining the coach in the dugout were Matt Warren and chest-infection victim Glyn Dyer, while other absentees included island players Tom Strawbridge and Scott Bradford.

However, there was still enough quality available to overcome a Rovers side boosted by new signings Sam Rowe and Jake Ellis - both from Saints - as well as former Tics duo Aaron Gallie and Danny Marquand.
