WAITROSE is introducing mobility scooters to its Guernsey stores.
Two arrived in the island yesterday to ensure the needs of disabled shoppers at the Admiral Park and Rohais branches are met.
They have been sourced with help from disability equipment experts at St John's Ambulance and Rescue Service.
The issue was highlighted in the Guernsey Press on 19 April after Gina Johnson, who has multiple sclerosis, contacted Waitrose after she learned that they did not provide such mobility aids.
