The Shearwater Trophy, which was first competed for in 1965, is being held on 16 July with sponsorship from F Watson & Sons Ltd.

The decision to hold the race once again was taken due to the rapidly increasing catamaran fleet in Guernsey that now rivals the size of the Jersey fleet.

The race is open to all catamaran dinghies in either Guernsey or Jersey and this year will start off Castle Cornet at 12.30.
