Cathy is best senior rider over two days

VISITING course designer Paul Thompson produced some flowing yet testing tracks for the horses and riders competing in the British Showjumping's Summer Show held at Chemin Le Roi.

Poor weather conditions were no inhibitor to healthy competition as the two largest classes of weekend got the first day off to a cracking start with Leanne Gallienne on Knowle Jupiter winning the senior novice 0.75m and Paullette King with a chance ride on Afrodite, claiming the senior novice 0.85m.

King went on to yet another victory on her own horse the next day when winning the Grade C on Classique.

Emma Dorey provided a nice 40th birthday surprise for Sarah Rolph, the owner of Sheer Elegance, picking up the senior intermediate jumping which was some compensation for missing out on the puissance trophy when she came second on Snaffles Purple Patch, to an in-form Sophie Ephgrave on Go.
