PEOPLE living in Vauvert have joined calls for action to prevent littering around Burnt Lane.

Dawn Jungerius and Karen Gibbs live next door to each other, opposite Burnt Lane steps and agreed the area had a major problem.

'It's fly-tipping. People put down whatever they have,' Mrs Gibbs said.

'We have had old microwave ovens and parasols. Notices have gone up telling people to "grass up" the tippers, but it could be anyone.'
