A DISPUTE between the States and Cable and Wireless could see the telecoms firm thrown out of its data centre premises.

The telecoms company has been threatened with eviction and faced the destruction of its new £7m. centres.

The company leases Centenary House, La Vrangue, from the Treasury and Resources Department which claims Cable and Wireless has breached its agreement by failing formally to ask permission to put up the four data buildings. The department is demanding an extra £170,000 a year in rent from the company.

Cable and Wireless has now applied to have the dispute heard in the Royal Court.
