ISLANDERS have combed Guernsey's beaches, cleaning and counting litter and rubbish as part of the National Beachwatch Big Weekend.

One group spent yesterday afternoon patrolling Pembroke.

Operations manager Pete Bowker, 25, said islanders had a responsibility to keep the bays clean.
