Innovators have it tough as investors remain nervous

A LACK of innovative new products hitting the market should come as no surprise considering the current nervousness among investors, the summit audience was told.

Speakers on the first panel discussion at Mansion House felt that the product landscape had significantly changed following the financial crisis.

'I have seen a lot of nervousness among investors in the past couple of years, especially as we had a bull market in the first half of this decade,' said Jeremy Beckwith, chief investment officer at Kleinwort Benson.
