A BMX enthusiast is hoping to break the world record for the fastest wheelie over 100 metres in an effort to raise money for the new skatepark.

Dave 'Pixie' Robilliard, 45, who has worked at Guernsey Post for 30 years, is hoping to complete the distance in less than 14.5 seconds.

His record attempt will take place at the Guernsey FC game at Footes Lane at 2.45pm on Saturday.

The sprint is one of three records that he is attempting, including distance wheelied in an hour and beating the record 11-hour non-stop wheelie. The latter two will be attempted at a later date.
