CULTURE and Leisure is investigating the possibility of outsourcing Beau Sejour to save on running costs, the department's minister has confirmed.

Deputy Mike O'Hara said that, if this was considered to be the best option, the States would continue to set the way it was managed but a contractor would run it.

'It is a method used throughout the UK and a method we've been asked to investigate under the Financial Transformation Programme,' he said.

'We will discuss services with potential contractors to see what they would deliver and what they would charge to do it.'
