A FAMILY will be left homeless and unemployed after being evicted by Oatlands owner Peter Kaufman-Kent.

The Scowen family – parents Val and James and their 15-year-old son – spent 11 years building up the Courtyard Brasserie at Oatlands and live in the flat above.

But last month they were given just 30 days to leave a business they have poured their savings into. The move would also leave their eight staff out of work.

The family is going to court to seek a staying of the eviction order.

Mr Kaufman-Kent did not want to comment.
