Man aged 50 admits eight sex offences against an under-16 girl

A MAN pleaded guilty to committing eight sex offences against a child when he appeared before the Royal Court.

A MAN pleaded guilty to committing eight sex offences against a child when he appeared before the Royal Court.

Peter Lloyd Ray Nicolle, 50, entered guilty pleas to four counts of committing an act of gross indecency with, and four of indecently assaulting, a girl under the age of 16.

The offences took place in 2010. Nicolle said he was of no fixed address when he first appeared in the Magistrate's Court on 5 March and his case was committed to the Royal Court on 2 April.

Prosecutor Advocate Rory Calderwood said a Newton hearing might be required. One takes place when a defendant admits an offence but disputes some of the prosecution evidence that could have a bearing on sentencing.

Judge Russell Finch adjourned the case until 10 May to give the prosecution and defence time to try and reach agreement.

There was no bail application and the defendant was remanded in custody.

this man has done a terrible crime and i hope he will be punished for it and those he abused will know he is locked up

I quite agree Kat, and he will not be the last, these brave victims are beginning to fight back, they deserve all of the help, advice and support that they can get.

I'll be watching the sentencing for this very closely.

He should get the book thrown at him....... we'll see.

This is so very sad. Trust has been violated in the Family that which this man was meant to protect.Admitting his guilt is the right thing to do. He needs help. May the family he has offended find all the help and support that they need. Justice must take a stand against such crimes.Guernsey seems to have a very bad record and history of sexual offenders. The courts must act with greater measure's of sentence's to deter these kind of sexual offenders and provide help to rehabilate their behaviour.

Another one!

These people make me sick, throw away the key. This has got to be the worse kind of crime there is.

Hope the victims can move on and now enjoy their lives. Hopefully he will go away for a long time.

Families should not have to deal with this.
