'We're not all fans of Gallagher'

NOEL Gallagher will not appeal to young people, underwhelmed islanders said in response to the news of Jersey Live's headline act.

And many people in Town yesterday spoke of their disappointment at the calibre of performers at both the Jersey event and the upcoming Guernsey Festival.

But, with one headliner still to be announced, Guernsey Festival organisers Paul and Jon Stephen were confident that both events would offer something extraordinary to local festival-goers and those from the UK.

They thought both events offered a fantastic calibre of performer.

Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds and Chase & Status were this week announced as headline acts for the ninth Jersey Live festival.
