HSBC is moving part of its Jersey-based business to Guernsey.
The bank confirmed that its private banking arm - which provides banking services to high net worth clients - would be relocating next year.
It will be giving up its HSBC Private Bank (CI) Ltd licence held in Jersey as a result.
The news comes just two weeks after an announcement it was set to shed 90 Jersey jobs as part of a national restructuring programme.
