MOST doctors who work in Accident and Emergency will refuse to take part in a new television documentary about the Princess Elizabeth Hospital, Dr Brian Parkin has said.

The primary care committee spokesman said staff were deeply concerned about the ITV-commissioned programme and felt that doctor-patient confidentiality would be put at risk.

Filming for the 12-part series - with the working title of Island Hospital - is due to take place this summer.

Dr Parkin, pictured, said doctors needed more information about the series.

'The majority of doctors in Accident and Emergency do not want to be filmed,' he said.
