LONGUE Hougue Recycling Facility reopens on Monday - with a new set of rules.
A code of conduct is being introduced and rules forbidding parts being taken from working items, will be strictly enforced.
Public Services recycling officer Tina Norman-Ross said there would be a dedicated area for working items that could be taken away.
'This new code of conduct will make the site a better place to visit,' she said.
'We have a responsibility to make sure that people don't come to any harm.'
Mrs Norman-Ross said the general layout and facilities of the site, which was closed to allow construction of the new slaughterhouse to begin, had been improved.
