POLICE are this morning still seeking to arrest two members of a criminal gang suspected of being responsible for duping Treasury and Resources into handing over £2.6m. of taxpayer money.

Both suspects – a 26-year-old based in Suffolk and a 39-year-old based in Kent – are today being advised by officers leading the investigation to hand themselves in at City of London Police headquarters.

Phone contact has been made with the 39-year-old and officers have also spoken to his solicitor – it is believed he plans to give himself up at some point this week.
