ONE of the tallest cranes to be used in Guernsey has been brought in to help to build local market apartments at One St Julian's Avenue, developers have said.

The 30m. (98ft)-high machine from England arrived last month and is being used to help create the foundations and underground parking for the development.

It will then help with the construction of the building on the former Randalls Brewery site.

It will be used for the next year.

There are plans for 32 luxury dwellings at the site – three open market penthouses and 29 local market loft-style one- and two-bedroom apartments.
