Today sees the monthly Environment Department open planning meeting, and the two items that are likely to attract most interest are plans for the redevelopment of the former Guernsey Brewery site at Havelet in St Peter Port and the former Hotel Les Carterets at Cobo.

We'll be at the meeting and will be talking to opponents of both sets of plans afterwards to get their reaction to the decisions.

It was thought that proposals for the expansion of Admiral Park would also be discussed today, but these have been deferred.

Following criticism by the island's parochial authorities of plans for kerbside recycling, we'll be catching up with some of those who already handle the island's refuse, be it rubbish or recycling, to find out what they think of the ideas and what impact they could have on their businesses.

A joint Channel Islands delegation is in Westminster today to talk to MP's of the All-Party Parliamentary Channel Islands Group, and we'll be contacting one of the Guernsey representatives – either chief minister Peter Harwood or Deputy Dave Jones – later today to find out how it went.

And after yesterday's seminar revealing that the 2012 visitor season was a tough one, we'll be talking to various hotels about how their year went and what they think of the initiatives planned to bring in more visitors in the future.

Tomorrow's sports pages will have a report on tonight's netball clash between women's league champions Nerine A and Resolution IT. The game starts at 8.30 at Beau Sejour tonight.

There'll be a look at what the future holds for the Guernsey Bowling Club, and an interview with Jai Vaudin about the sorry state of the Pleinmont motocross track following the recent heavy rains.
