The first budget report of the Treasury Department under minister Gavin St Pier (pictured) is published tomorrow, and today the minister will be facing the media at a press conference.

We'll have a summary of the report's key recommendations in tomorrow's paper.

Following news that ash dieback has been found in Guernsey we'll be going to local environmental groups to talk about what this is likely to mean to the island, including La Societe Guernesiaise, the National Trust and the plant health section of the Commerce and Employment Department.

Check-in staff and baggage handlers at Jersey airport are threatening to strike over the Christmas period, and we'll be finding out what impact this could have on Guernsey residents' plans over the holidays.

The annual Champion Charities event takes place tonight, and tomorrow's paper will have a report on the evening, with more details about the charities themselves to follow.

And we'll have a photographer at the Oxfam fashion show, which takes place at the Peninsula hotel at lunchtime today.

Tomorrow's sports section features a look ahead at the weekend's big matches, which include Guernsey FC's latest FA Vase game, this time away to Erith Town; Bels taking on North in the Priaulx League and Guernsey Rugby Club meeting Old Elthamians at Footes Lane.
