A COUPLE are launching a charity to support the hospital ward that saved their baby daughter’s life.

Cathy and Scott Gallienne are raising much-needed funds to support the paediatrics section of Frossard Ward at the Princess Elizabeth Hospital, where Lily-Mae was treated for a potentially fatal meningitis infection at the end of August.

Lily-Mae, now aged eight months, was rushed back to the ward with bronchitis just three weeks ago, where she was dependent on an oxygen supply before recovering.

The couple’s eldest daughter Isabelle, 3, also had a spell on the ward with a kidney infection, giving them even more reason to thank all the staff for their care and emotional support.
