CASTEL residents were in a state of disbelief yesterday after learning that a man walking his dog in the area had been shot with a pellet gun.
The victim needed medical attention after the projectile pierced his clothing and lodged in his chest.
He was walking from Rue du Friquet towards Route de Cobo when the incident happened between 9.30 and 10pm on Friday .
Police were yesterday continuing to investigate the incident.
L'Aumone Estate resident Debbie Sealley, 31, said her dog, Marley, was shot with a pellet gun just six months ago.
'The dog was in the garden when it got hit and we think it must have been shot from quite a distance – somewhere from a window, I reckon,' said the mum-of-two.
