THE Public Services Department launches its Guernsey Ports Master Plan today.

Minister Paul Luxon (pictured) and his department have been working on a 50-year vision for the island's infrastructure and we'll be bringing you all the detail of those plans tomorrow.

Today also sees the launch of a new film aimed at preventing knife crime. Organised by the family and friends of James Dean, who was tragically killed in 2006, it is hoped that it will make people think twice about carrying a knife. We'll be at this evening's screening and a report will appear in tomorrow's paper.

Also today, we'll be watching as local schools take part in a record-breaking sign2sing attempt, plus we'll be following the continuing search for missing woman Gillian Sarahs. We'll also be in the Royal Court for the continuation of the £400,000 drugs case.

All this and much more in tomorrow's Guernsey Press.
