RETAILERS have been asked to use common sense when selling eggs to youngsters in the evenings, following anti-social behaviour in St Martin's.

A number of La Grande Rue properties had eggs thrown at them at about 9pm on 31 January.

Police patrols in the parish have been stepped up following the recent problems.

Southern parishes' neighbourhood policing constable Simon Hamon said it was not the first time this had happened.

'People whose properties were egged are OK, but there are some places that are being targeted frequently,' he said.
