HALF of the apartments in the first phase of a large St Peter Port redevelopment project were reserved within hours of being released.

One St Julian's Avenue is being transformed into 32 apartments and penthouses by developer Vauxlaurens Property Holdings Ltd.

Although the units are not due to be completed until May 2014, six out of 12 apartments in the first phase of the project were reserved in less than two hours.

A deposit fee arrangement meant that interested purchasers could reserve their preferred apartment or penthouse at a very early stage of the development, the developer's advocates Babbe said.
