COUR DU PARC might be opened to the public one last time before its refurbishment gets under way, Guernsey Housing Association chief executive Steve Williams has said.

The association's plans to regenerate the island's only tower block are still being considered by the planners. The consultation ends in 10 days' time.

Mr Williams, pictured, said he had received surprisingly little feedback on the scheme.

'Generally I haven't heard anything, positive or negative,' he said.

The association, in collaboration with the Housing Department, plans to modernise the building in La Charroterie and create 50 flats.
