A SCRUTINY member has questioned whether the entire Home Department board should resign in the wake of the AFR debacle.

Rob Jones, pictured, posed the question to Home member Mary Lowe during a Twitter exchange over the handling of the saga by both States bodies.

Scrutiny held a public hearing last month over the circumstances surrounding an unlawful police raid on AFR's offices in 2010 and a subsequent settlement.

'It is clear there was no political oversight should you all resign?' posted Deputy Jones.

He has since insisted he was not calling on the board to resign. Instead, Deputy Jones said he posed the question to Deputy Lowe during Monday's exchange to ask whether she was looking for a vote of no confidence in the board.
