GUERNSEY and Jersey should work more closely together to promote tourism in the islands, according to the president of Skal International.

Mok Singh was in the island to attend the 60th Skal UK National Assembly.

The organisation brings together all aspects of travel and tourism and works to improve communication within the industry.

On Saturday he took part in the firing of the noonday gun at Castle Cornet.

He hoped that Guernsey and Jersey could work together to benefit tourism for both islands.
