15 offshore jobs among cuts at HSBC

HSBC job cuts will hit local staff, with the banking giant confirming that 15 posts are to go across Guernsey, Jersey and the Isle of Man.

The bank, which yesterday announced plans to make more than 1,000 people redundant around the UK, described the local losses as 'relatively modest'.

It said they would be spread across the three islands.

In a statement, HSBC Bank International Ltd said: 'HSBC Channel Islands and Isle of Man will see a relatively modest impact from the announcement made by HSBC in the UK today, with a net reduction of 15 roles across the islands.'
