Search for French yachtsman called off

THE SEARCH for a missing French yachtsman off the west coast has been called off.

The man went overboard on Saturday night.

Channel Island Air Search, Guernsey Lifeboat and the St John inshore rescue boats searched the coastline between the Hanois and Vazon.

As of this morning no evidence of the missing man has been found.

The other three people, who were aboard the French yacht during the incident, are being interviewed by Guernsey Police.
