KERBSIDE recycling will be introduced to St Sampson's later this year after parishioners enthusiastically accepted proposals at last night's annual parish meeting.

Due to start in September or October this year, the service will see the current twice-weekly collections divided between waste destined for Mont Cuet and recyclables.

Dry and mixed recyclables will be collected on alternate weeks and only glass is not included.

Crucially, according to parish junior constable Paul Le Pelley, the service will not cost more than the current system.
