BUS drivers will register a dispute against CT Plus if they are not offered a pay rise, their union official has threatened.

Unite regional officer Bob Lanning warned that he would 'activate the dispute process' if the bus operator maintained its stance of freezing drivers' pay.

He said the continuation of that position would only escalate the recent turmoil, which saw drivers stage a wildcat strike on Monday, with them working to rule for the rest of the week.

'If the company does not offer a pay rise I will activate the dispute process and give the Guernsey legal process a chance. I am ready to activate it – it is the only tool I have got,' Mr Lanning said.
