ORGANISERS battled through yesterday's foggy and damp conditions to put the finishing touches to this year's sell-out Sark Folk Festival.

Around 1,400 people are expected to arrive for the weekend of music, workshops and entertainment, starting today.

All campsites, guest houses and hotels are fully booked for the annual event, barring cancellations, and sunny weather is expected for the array of acts performing over the next three days.

Organising committee member Jessica Nash said weekend tickets sold out in just three days for this year's festival and they had around 70 volunteers on hand to ensure it was a success.
