RESIDENTS had a ball at the annual Alderney Week fundraising bash.

The theme was anniversary celebrations and takes on it included the NHS, Aurigny, the Beano, the Queen's jubilee, Dr Livingstone and more.

The Aurigny effort included not only flight crew but baggage, a windsock, fog and some of its passengers from back in 1968.

Guests enjoyed a hog roast, cooked by chefs at the Georgian, music by The Fling and a charity auction.

Simon Brazier bid £1,100 for a piece of gold to be crafted into his own design, for his partner, and Clive Fisher bid £50 for breakfast at the Braye Beach.

Alderney Week cost £65,000 to put on, with £30,000 of that being ploughed directly back into the community from supplies being bought locally.
