Merger of Vale schools complete

VALE Primary School's merger is complete, its first head teacher has said.

Gary Hind said uniting the Vale Infants and Vale Junior schools under the single banner of Vale Primary was the right decision and had been welcomed by everyone. He has yet to hear a dissenting voice.

Consulting parents and involving them with the information about changes were reasons he believed had allayed any concerns over having a single head teacher in charge of two schools.

While the merger into Vale Primary School is complete in name, Mr Hind said that the finer points were still being worked on.

'The children are going to design the new badge and eventually they will all be in the same uniform. The children are all happy and have settled extremely well.'
