STATES members have demanded more information about the critical failings within the Channel Islands Stock Exchange.

Several deputies have confirmed they have not received any details about the Guernsey Financial Services Commission investigation into the exchange nor had they been told about the findings of an independent expert review of the organisation.

Matt Fallaize said it might be helpful if the Policy Council arranged a briefing for members about the problems at the CISX.

'We haven't had any information at all,' he said.

Key players involved in the saga chose to remain quiet yesterday – with both the CISX and GFSC declining to comment.

The Policy Council and Guernsey Finance responded with similar statements saying due to the regulatory investigation it would be 'inappropriate' to comment on historical activities or the report.
