annual Boxing Day Dip at Cobo.

Organiser Dave Chester estimated nearly 600 people took part in the event, which regularly raises more than £5,000 for the Guernsey Cheshire Home.

'It's absolutely amazing – the event seems to grow exponentially,' said Mr Chester, who also took part in the dip.

'People seem to have enjoyed themselves. There is a wonderful community sprit about the whole thing.'

This year the theme for the event was rock stars.
