The final episode of the BBC show, which has been following church life in Sark, was broadcast on Friday evening.

Tourist office staff have taken the unusual step of coming in on Saturdays over the last six weeks to cope with the volume of enquiries after the show.

Sark visitor officer Karen Adams said the response had been marvellous.

'We have had a tenfold increase in website hits on Friday nights after the show,' she said.

'We are also sending out between 100 and 150 brochures a week. That does sound good, but the real excitement is about the number of hits on the website, because people are more likely to look there.'

The show closely followed Methodist student presbyter Karen Le Mouton, pictured. 'Locally, everyone has really enjoyed it,' she said.
