Anthony Hamon, 20, was sentenced yesterday to 30 months in youth detention after he admitted possessing the Class B drug with intent to supply.

Judge Russell Finch said it was apparent Hamon was acting for financial gain and was in a position of trust.

'You are a drug dealer for personal gain,' the judge told him.

'You're entitled to your opinion on cannabis, but you're not entitled to break the law because you don't agree with it.

'We don't see much remorse. The impression you give is that you are somebody who is immature and lacking insight and lacking perspective.'

He told Hamon that the court hoped he would 'grow-up' during his time in youth detention.
