The Vale Primary School student yesterday had the long style trimmed into a short bob in aid of the Little Princess Trust.

'I decided to do it as another girl at school did it too,' she said.

The charity provides wigs for boys and girls who have suffered hair loss through cancer.

Cassidy had her hair cut by Peter Pinnock, stylist at Girard Hair and Nails.

Her mum Kelly, 36, also has her hair cut by Mr Pinnock.

'She is a brave young lady,' he said. 'A client came in earlier and donated £5 to the charity.' he said.

'I am excited about it (having it cut),' she said.

After Mr Pinnock had cut her hair, Cassidy was happy with the result.
