Night-time work on airport project comes to an end

MAJOR late-night disruption has come to an end for neighbours of Guernsey Airport after Lagan finished its night works in the multi-million pound airport project.

Airport director Colin Le Ray yesterday wanted to thank nearby households for their tolerance throughout the major project, including the noise created at night, from mid-May, as part of the final stages.

Mr Le Ray said Lagan still needed to re-instate the areas used as compounds and changes were being made to the configuration of drainage on the north-west area of the site to mitigate against any future flooding issues.

Lagan will then return in August to carry out basic checks, carry out minor works and also dust suppression if necessary.
