TRUCK driver not guilty of last April's cyclist death

TRUCK driver Nigel Simon has been cleared of causing the death of advocate David Allison by dangerous driving.

The Royal Court returned its not guilty verdict to the charge, including an alternative charge of driving without due care and attention, this afternoon.

Cyclist Mr Allison died last April when Mr Simon's truck collided with him when turning in to the Salerie corner slip way entrance.
