'Civil disturbance' sees Sarah Groves trial grind to a halt once again
THE Groves' family's search for justice took another hit yesterday as the trial of the man suspected of killing their 24-year-old daughter Sarah ground to a halt once again.
No progress was made in yesterday's hearing of the trial, as no prosecution witnesses turned up, due to 'civil disturbance across the valley' in Kashmir.
Richard de Wit is standing trial in India after pleading not guilty to murder.
To date, only eight out of 46 witnesses have been cross-examined in court since the trial began in July last year.
Her father Vic Groves said the judge had recently instructed the prosecution to make sure all witnesses were processed within the next six months.
'But sadly this is an empty threat and there is very little chance of this happening,' he said.
