£2m. investment in digital industry sought
A COMBINED bid of £2m. has been made by Commerce and Employment to strengthen the island's digital industry.

And the department has also made a one-off request to increase its budget for marketing and tourism by £250,000 to fund a new TV campaign.
The calls for further money are for the next phase of the department's economic development framework.
It includes a £1m. bid for each of two projects that will be spent over three years – a digital innovation centre and a finance sector innovation and diversification strategic development bid.
The latter will focus on facilitating research and fast tracking development of new and innovative e-finance policy and associated legislation.
