Road is busy enough without 51 more homes, say residents

TRAFFIC is bad enough without building more houses, people living near a planned major new development have said.

Plans have been submitted to build 51 sheltered houses in a field along Rue du Tertre, just off Braye Road in the Vale.

It is largely derelict and undeveloped, apart from half a dozen abandoned houses in various states of disrepair, which could be demolished if the plans are approved.

A15th-century farmhouse is also on the site, but, as a protected building, it would remain.
