There were 56 entries in the event that attracted hundreds of islanders and tourists over its two days.

One of the judges was Education minister Robert Sillars.

'It's the first time I've ever judged it, I've been a lot of times before as a spectator but this is much, much harder,' he said.

'It's absolutely brilliant, a huge amount of effort has gone in to everything.

'I met two ladies from Paris along the route who said they had read about the competition on the internet and came over to Guernsey especially to come and see it.'

The winning entry was Mr's Brown's Boys.
